The police dog that was retired from the Ottawa Police Department last month has died. Gussy was with the department for nine years. She worked a lot of drug cases for the city. The department retired her because of health reasons and announced yesterday that she died. Gussy was with handler Sgt. Robert “Bud” Nilles and lived with his family after her police duties ended.
