Streator HS board looking to fill vacancy

Streator High School Board Member Mike Mast is leaving the board before the end of his term. So the board is looking for someone to fill the vacancy from September 2022 until the next board election in April 2023. The person must live within the district and is an Illinois resident. You must also:

Be a United States Citizen
Be at least 18 years of age
Be a resident of the District and Illinois since September 1, 2021
Be a registered voter
Not be a child sex offender as defined in Section 11-9.3 of the Criminal Code
Not hold another incompatible public office
Not have a prohibited interest in any contract with the District

If the person wants to stay on the board, they can choose to run in 2023. Applications are due by September 1st. The plan is to announce the new person at their next board meeting on September 20th.
