The series finale between the White Sox and the Cleveland Guardians was postponed. The game was not played due to poor field conditions and will be rescheduled for a later date. The Southsiders remain two-and-a-half games behind Cleveland for first place in the AL Central.
The Cubs gave up five runs in the final three innings in a 5-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field. The Cubs carried a 2-0 lead into the seventh inning before Brandon Hughes blew his third save of the season. Rowan Wick picked up the loss after giving up the go-ahead run. Ian Happ and Seiya Suzuki each went deep in the losing effort.
The St. Louis Cardinals overcame a late one-run deficit to beat the Diamondbacks 6-4 at Chase Field. The Cards are now five games ahead of the Brewers in the NL Central at 69-and-51.

The Chicago Sky beat the New York Liberty 100-62 in game two of the best-of-three series at Wintrust Arena over the weekend. The 38-point win sets a new WNBA playoff record for largest margin of victory. The Sky will visit New York for a winner-take-all game three tomorrow.
The Chicago Fire FC were shutout 2-0 by New York City at Toyota Park. The Fire are in 12th place in the MLS Eastern Conference and will host Montreal Saturday.
At the Bear’s training camp, Roquan Smith was back at practice on Saturday. The Bears linebacker demanded a trade at the beginning of camp due to issues with his contract. Head coach Matt Eberflus says he hopes Smith will be ready for week one of the regular season.
Over in the PGA, Patrick Cantlay is once again the winner of the BMW Championship in Wilmington Delaware.
Kyle Larson won the checkered flag in the NASCAR Cup Series race at the Watkins Glen International Speedway in New York.
