Illinois American Water offering grants to fire departments

Illinois American Water is offering grants to fire departments that serve its service areas. Those areas include Streator and Ransom. The company will award up to $1,000 to a department for water handling equipment, training, workbooks, communications, equipment, protective gear, and more. The grant application process requires a description of what the money will be used for and a summary of other funding sources being tried for.
