If you don’t want to wait in line for sweet corn in Mendota at the sweet corn festival, the Open Table United Church of Christ is having a free lunch Sunday. The Second Sunday lunch will start at noon. They will serve turkey chili, cornbread, coleslaw, and cookies for dessert. The church says anyone is welcome to attend. It’s located at 910 Columbus St.
