Six miles of Illinois 23 will get a few months of construction work, starting Monday. The Illinois Department of Transportation says the south end of the project is Stevenson Rd. in Ottawa. The north end is U.S. 52 west of Serena. Flaggers will control traffic when workers are there. The $4.8 million resurfacing, traffic signal, and guardrail project is expected to take until late fall.
