Twelve parking spaces are being planned for in the city-owned lot in the 200 block of E. Walnut St. in Oglesby. After another long discussion this week, the city council members agreed the alley exit isn’t a good idea. That would have allowed for 16 spaces. Residents on the other side of the block objected to so much traffic going by there. And the city would have needed more land to make it a more comfortable exit. Mayor Dominic Rivara isn’t ready to say how much the new parking lot will cost.
