African Swine Fever continues to disrupt global pork trade.

Christine McCracken, Senior Protein Analyst for RaboResearch tells Brownfield total availability of exportable supplies is being disrupted as the disease is spreads in parts of Germany and Italy.

“That continues to impact their ability to export product and disrupts trade there. Clearly it also impacts their domestic supply of protein.”

She says ASF is still an issue in parts of Asia but producers there are beginning to bounce back.
