LaSalle Mayor Jeff Grove says CL Enterprises is being proactive with ordering tunnel scaffolding for the Maytag Building. A report from Wendler Engineering last week says that the building is a danger to pedestrians with loose bricks and leaning and cracked walls. Economic Development Director Lean Inman says the west and south walls of the building have many issues. Alderman Jerry Reynolds will be the city’s liaison for the project. He says he will give the city council updates at every meeting.
