Debra “Debbie” L. Dixon, a beloved mother, wife, grandma, and aunt passed away September 19, 2026. She was born in Ottawa, Illinois to the late Clarence Munson and Wanda (DeMoss) Grotti (step-father James Grotti).
A visitation to celebrate her life will be held Monday, September 28, 2026 at Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa from 3 to 6 p.m with a memorial service to follow with Rev. Seamus Enright, officiating.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 31 years, Tony Dixon; her daughter, Heather (Jones) Johnson; her son, Bill Jones; her step-daughter, Christie (David) Trenor; her grandchildren, Alec, Aidan, Logan, Lauren, and Nolan; her sisters-in-law, Lorene (Dale) Munson and Lori (Dan) Munson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Debbie was a dedicated grandma and aunt who frequently attended their sporting events and theater performances. She also filled their bellies with all the cinnamon toast and macaroni & cheese they could eat. She enjoyed doing puzzles and listening to live music in the park. She brought joy and laughter to all in her presence and truly enjoyed life.
She was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church in Ottawa. She was a 1973 graduate of Ottawa Township High School and was involved in Jobs’ Daughters. She was a member of a bowling league for many years. She enjoyed annual family vacations to Lake Mills, WI since childhood and yearly trips to Branson with Tony.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Dale and Dan.
