Kinslee Aria Tschida, 8, of Serena, formerly of Marseilles, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 3, 2026.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2026, at Crossbridge Community Church in Ottawa. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Joe Young of the Marseilles Church of the Nazarene officiating. Private burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Kinslee was born on February 2, 2018, in Morris, to Jared Tschida and Meghan Scheib.
She attended Rutland Grade School and was known as “Queen Bee.” She loved singing, dancing, being on FaceTime with her best friends, Elli Sarles and Adalynn Govero, and playing Roblox. She enjoyed riding in the tractor with Grandpa and playing cards with Grandma. She had Liam and Avery wrapped around her finger whether they were giving her piggy back rides in the pool or playing games with her. When Kinslee was spending time with Kayla and Violet, they would play with dolls, swing, and color on the windows. Kinslee loved having cousins, and there was always laughter and smiles coming from wherever they were. Kinslee also enjoyed spending lots of time with Brenda and Darrin playing Uno, having dance parties, and going out to breakfast together. She also absolutely loved her animals, especially her cat, Marsie.
Kinslee is survived by her mother, Meghan (Aaron Rieckert) Scheib; her father, Jared Tschida; her grandparents, Christopher (Kimberly) Scheib, Dawn (Kevin) Kuykendall, Tom (Arlene) Tschida, and Darrin (Brenda) Rieckert; her great-grandmother, Dorothy Scheib; her great-grandparents, Arnie (Kasey) Berg and Ralph (Vicki) Stoll; her aunts and uncles, Samantha (Bryce) Wallace, Alec (Brittany) Scheib, Jasmine (Scott) Krehbiel, Jade Tschida, and Andrew (Annie) Liang; and her cousins, Liam, Avery, Kayla, Violet, Karson, Lillian, Lia, and Aiden.
Kinslee was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Donald Scheib, Debbie Stoll, and Sandra and Gene Tschida.
Pallbearers will be Chris Scheib, Aaron Rieckert, Bryce Wallace, and Alec Scheib. Honorary pallbearers will be Liam and Avery Wallace.
