Kim Luann (Rick) Zimmerman, 67, formerly of Marseilles and Naplate, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Prairie Crossing in Shabbona, after a long battle with Dementia.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa. Burial will follow at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Kim was born on January 12, 1959 in Ottawa to William and Marilyn (Reynolds) Rick. She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School, class of 1977. Kim formerly attended St. Joseph Church in Marseilles and St. Mary’s Church in Naplate. She loved cooking, baking, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her three daughters, Jenna (Keith) Seroka of Ottawa, Joyce (Kyle) Sheldon of Round Lake, and Katie (Charles) Schaeffer of Byron; six grandchildren, Carrie and Brock Kennedy, Ainslee Seroka, and Aubrey, Charleigh, and Jerona Schaeffer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother and sister, Terry and Debbie Rick, in infancy.
