Frank E. Youmans, 84, of Marseilles, IL, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at his home.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marseilles with Fr. Ryan Mattingly officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.
Frank was born on April 4, 1941, in Ottawa, IL, to Earl Raymond Sr. and Velma (Leger) Youmans. On June 12, 1970, he married Carol J. Whalen of Ransom, who preceded him in death in 2020.
Frank was a talented carpenter and was a member of Carpenters Union # 195 in Ottawa for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Morris Moose Lodge 967. He was very proud to have worked on the building of St. Columba Catholic Church in Ottawa and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marseilles. He was employed by Leibhart Construction in Ottawa for many years. He used his carpenter’s talents to help out many people in Marseilles and he helped design and remodel his niece’s house.
He is survived by his sister, Rita Ingmanson; his brother, Mark Youmans; and many nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol; two brothers, Claude and Earl Youmans Jr.; and his brother-in-law, Leo Ingmanson.
Pallbearers will be Chris and Kip Ingmanson, Stan Whalen, Mark, Neil, and Jason Youmans.
