Jeffrey McDermott, 59, of Ottawa, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at his home.
Memorial services will be at 12 noon on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with Rev. John Walker, officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Jeffrey was born on April 9, 1966 in Chicago to Jerry and Mary Ellen (Dennison) McDermott. He worked as a general manager for Culligan. Jeffrey grew up in Alaska where he enjoyed fishing and even became a guide for some time. He also loved boating, motorcycles, snowmobiling, and taking his dogs for rides.
He is survived by his father, Jerry McDermott, of Missouri; a daughter, Aubrie (Josh Vodden) McDermott, of Ottawa; a sister, Apryl McDermott, of Ottawa; and his two dogs, Aurora and Laz.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen McDermott; and his grandparents, including special grandmother, Julia.
