Steven Wilson, 64, of Grand Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at the Arc at Streator.
Memorial services will be will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa with Rev. Satya Sudhakar pastor of Epworth United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park, Ottawa. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the services.
Steven was born on August 30, 1960 in Streator to Rafel and Betty (Rhodes) Wilson. He was a graduate of the Ottawa Township High School class of 1978. Steven retired from Walter Seed and Feed and later drove as a semi-truck driver. He married Jolene Grobe on April 10, 1988 at Epworth United Methodist Church, Ottawa. Steve served as the Assistant Fire Chief on the Grand Ridge Fire Department for 29 years and also served on the Grand Ridge Village Board. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Ottawa.
He is survived by two brothers, Ron (Terry) Wilson of Grand Ridge, Rafel (Peggy) Wilson, Jr. of Orlando, FL; and a sister, Mary (Randall) Baxendale of North Tustin, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rafel and Betty; and his wife, Jolene Wilson on July 30, 2024.
