Colleen Anne Pellegrini, 71, of Marseilles, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at OSF St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Rockford.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Deacon Ron Wackerlin officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.
Colleen was born on December 28, 1953, in Ottawa, to Alfonso and Dorothy (Sheedy) Scanavino.
Colleen was employed as a teacher and waitress for many years. She was a kind and caring person who loved to take care of people. She enjoyed taking care of her yard, flowers, feeding the birds especially the hummingbirds.
She is survived by her life partner and best friend, Rex Cain; her brothers, Patrick Scanavino, Sr. and Bob Scanavino; her nephew and niece, Patrick “P.J” Scanavino, Jr. and Angela Scanavino; her stepchildren, Rachel (Jacob) Frizsell and Rebecca Horton; and six grandchildren, Caleb, Austin, Zoey, Izzy, Mary and Abby.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, Joseph Allen Scanavino.
