Sandra Mae (Partyka) Groh, 78, of Ottawa, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa followed by funeral services at 4 p.m. with Chaplain Jim McGuire officiating.

Sandra was born on December 12, 1946 in Chicago to Joseph and Violet (Leszczynski) Partyka. She worked as an interior designer. Sandy married Jim on July 24, 1965 in Melrose Park. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Master Gardener Societies. Sandra enjoyed gardening, antiques, crafting, music, sewing, traveling, and her dog, Bailey. What she loved most of all was her family.

She is survived by her husband, James Groh, of Ottawa; six children, Michael (Jennifer) Groh, of Cuenca, Ecuador, Ken Groh, of Joliet, Nancy (Brian) Scholz, of Derry, NH, Jennifer Lyons, of Encinitas, CA, Kristen (Al) Alvarado, of Ramona, CA, Jimmy (Gil Skeif) Groh, of Hoboken, NJ; ten grandchildren, Sasha Groh, Julia Alvarado, Leila Groh, Owen Scholz, Adan Alvarado, AJ Scholz, Mia Alvarado, Molly Scholz, Max Lyons, Lauren Lyons; a sister, Joann Flippin; and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Violet Partyka; a brother, John Partyka; and a sister, Judy Redman.
