Blanche (Urban) Uranich, 92, of LaSalle, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the Pavilion of Ottawa.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday June 26, 2025 at the Mueller funeral Home in Ottawa, with Rev. Nicolas Wilson of Ottawa Catholic Parishes officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Rapids Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.

Blanche was born on October 4, 1932 in Jonesville, IL to Stanley Urban and Mary (Safranski) Krysiak. Blanche married Lawrence Uranich, Jr. on May 30, 1953 in Holy Family Church, Oglesby. She and her husband and owned and operated Uranich Coal and Oil for 47 years and Yellow Cab Transfer for 64 years. Along with raising four children, Blanche enjoyed bowling, roller skating, her dogs, and camping with family, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face. Blanche was a member of St. Roch’s Church, LaSalle and the LaSalle Bowling League.

She is survived by four children, Gary (Pamela) Uranich of Peru, Gail (Craig) Voights of Marseilles, Richard (Nancy) Uranich of Dalzell, and Kevin (Greta) Uranich of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Betty (James) Bolelli; a sister-in-law, Jackie Uranich, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lawrence, and siblings, Bernice (Edward) Ruger, Elsie (William) Narcewski, Rose (Frank) Kaszynski, Florence (Arvin) Neuhalfen, Louie Krysiak, Edward (Betty) Krysiak, Harry (Phyllis) Krysiak, and Stanley G. (Sandy) Urban.

Memorials may be directed to the Shriners Hospital for children or the donor’s choice.

Pallbearers will be Daniel, Clinton, and Stephen Voights and Michael Uranich.
