Sandra Ellen (Funk) Swanson, 79, of Ottawa, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, with Rev. Bill Clark, officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
Sandra was born on July 13, 1945 in Columbus, OH to John W. and Goldae (Morrison) Funk. She married William J. Swanson on October 29, 1977. Sandra loved going bowling, sewing, gardening, and woodworking.
She is survived by her husband, William J. Swanson; six children, William Scott (Roberta) Swanson, Karrie Lynn (Bennett) Dickerson, Wendi Renee (Neal) Sleezer, Patricia Ann (Mark) Hill, Dawn Marie Buck, and Geoffrey Tait Swanson; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Goldae Funk; and sister, Peggy Lois Fyffe.
