Valerie Jean Farmer, 65, of Marseilles, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, at her home. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Dale Schillings officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Valerie was born April 2, 1959, in Denver, CO, to Richard and Ruth (Schultz) Shekner. On June 10, 2000, she married Charles Farmer of Oak Forest who survives.
She was a financial representative for Office Max for many years and then was hired as a truck driver for Silica Sand and Area Wide Transport where she worked until her retirement. Valerie enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening, crafts, and the outdoors.
Valerie is survived by her husband, Charles; her son, Kenny (Rebecca) Schultz; and her two grandchildren, Dylan and Daphne.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jodi Schultz, and her parents.
