Lisa Jean Fuchs, 62, of Ottawa, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, with Rev. Abraham Moller, Pastor of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, officiating with a private burial to follow. Visitation will be from 9 to 11a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home.

Lisa was born on September 4, 1962, in Ottawa to George E and Mary R. (Sheahan) Miller.

Lisa was well-known for bringing light and love to any room she entered. Lisa shined her brightest carrying the title of wife to the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Ray Fuchs. They were married on October 19, 1985, in Ottawa. Together with a strong bond and lifetime of love, they built a beautiful life. Lisa’s love only intensified when she became the proud and loving mother to Ryan (Alicia), Patrick (Callie), and Sean (Adrian) and the proudest grandmother to Brendyn, Carter, Parker, Raeliegh, Croix, Bowie, Landrie, and Halynn-her greatest joys in life.

For over 30 years, Lisa dedicated her life to helping others as the Assistant Director at the Ottawa Friendship House, where she touched countless lives with her kindness, compassion, and selfless heart. Lisa created and nurtured many strong bonds during her time at Friendship where she was affectionately known as Angel Lisa. Beyond her career, she was an active member of the community, serving as team mom and concession stand coordinator at North Side Little League for many years. She was also a proud member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, the Shoreline Boat Club, and served on the board for Camp Tuckabatchee, supporting causes close to her heart.

With all her accomplishments, Lisa’s most cherished role was being a Grandma. Lisa loved her grandchildren with a depth that no words can describe. Her adoration for her grandchildren went beyond words, and she never missed a game, recital, or special moment. She was their biggest cheerleader, showering them with love, encouragement, and unwavering support. Every child deserves a grandmother like Lisa.

Lisa had a heart of gold and a contagious smile that could light up any room. She will be remembered by those who loved her as an avid baseball lover, especially the White Sox. Fond memories that will be cherished forever were made spending time with friends, dancing, camping, and boating. Her warmth, generosity, and deep love for her family and community will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

She is survived by her husband, Ray of Ottawa; three sons, Ryan (Alicia) Fuchs of Ottawa, Patrick (Callie) Fuchs of Ottawa, and Sean (Adrian) Fuchs of Grand Ridge; eight grandchildren; a brother Brad (Laurena) Miller of Marseilles; a sister, Lori Weaver of Dallas, TX; a sister-in-law, Cheryl (Jeff) Eiben of Marseilles; and many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and a brother, Brian Miller.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
