Margaret Ann (Stoudt) Donnelly, 93 of Ottawa passed away Monday, February 17th, 2025, peacefully at her home. Private Family service will be held, at a later date, with Ottawa Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
Margaret was born November 23,1931 to Lawrence J. “Dick” and Frances (Siolz) Stoudt.  Margaret married Donald Edward Donnelly on October 3,1953 who proceeded her in death on June 13, 2018.  Together Marge and Donald had 5 children, Donald C. (Jackie) Donnelly, Doreen M. Charbonneau, David L. (Melody) Donnelly, Deeann R. (Keith) Piercy and Dean T. Donnelly. 11 Grandchildren, Donald C. (Arie) Donnelly, Jr, Jeremy Charbonneau, Lindsay D. (Bill) Kelm, Tara A. (Derrick) Seabrook, Jessica L. (Grant) Callahan, Jennifer M. Charbonneau, Harley S (Kate) Piercy, Brittany A. Donnelly, Kyle C. (Erin) Donnelly, Carter D. Piercy and Adecia P. (Chris) Quirk and 21 Great-Grandchildren.  She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.  She loved everyone dearly.
Margaret was a proud graduate of Marquette Academy class of 1950, the first Co-Ed class of Marquette High School and President of St. Xavier and Marquette Alumni 1951.
Margaret’s last employment was with the LaSalle County Mental Health Center. Her other jobs, throughout her life, were at the LaSalle County Court House, and Wallace Grain among others. She volunteered with the Community Hospital of Ottawa Reruns and as a reporter with the Catholic Post for St. Francis Alter and Rosary Society.
Marge loved spending time with family and friends, which is why she became the videographer at all events.  She loved “capturing the moment” and making sure she captured everyone who was there!  No-one was ever left out.  You could always find her waltzing around singing and dancing whenever people were around.  She was just that joyful person.  Another habit she had is that she would call everyone on their birthday and sing “Happy Birthday” to them over the phone (and, as early as she thought she could get away with).  Marge had an open-door policy and greeted everyone at her door with a hug, whether she knew you or not!  But most importantly, in her honor, always remember “You are my Sunshine.”
Margaret was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Doreen Charbonneau, her sisters, Lorraine Gayan and Virginia Johnson and her brothers, LJ Stoudt and J Richard “Sheik” Stoudt.
Memorials may be directed at the family.
