Nancy K. Quinzio, age 87, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025.
She was born on June 17, 1937, in Ottawa, Illinois, to William and Marie Lane. Nancy was united in marriage to Peter “Pete” Quinzio on September 7, 1957, at St. Columba Church in Ottawa, Illinois, and was currently a member of St. Francis Church. She was a devoted wife to Pete until his passing in 2018.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Lane, and her sisters, Patricia Flynn and Jeanne Wultzen.
Nancy is lovingly remembered by her sons, Chuck (Nancy) Quinzio of Palatine and Mike Quinzio of Ottawa. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Caitlin (Griffin), Andrew, and Elizabeth, along with two great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Bennett, who brought her much joy.
Throughout her life, Nancy loved to laugh and was known for her warmth, wit, kindness, and dedication to her family. Whether enjoying a pizza or a cold Bud Light with family or friends, she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.
