Anna was born January 23, 1935, in Sandwich, IL, to Aubrey and Celestine (Rohrer) Clapper. She married Kenneth Brown on December 3, 1955 at St. John the Baptist Church in Somonauk, IL. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2022.
She was an extremely caring person and would go above and beyond for those she loved and cared for. It could be as simple as cleaning the house of the family she babysat for or serving you a snack or sewing you something on a tough day, but she made sure to show she loved you. Family meant everything to her, she was extremely close with her extended family. She was always excited to find a good deal on something but, enjoyed even more being able to share her treasures with her family. She was an avid bingo player, flower gardener, and was an active member of St. Patrick’s Church.
She is survived by her children, Joe (Cindy) Brown, Michael Brown, Douglas (Diana) Brown, and Theresa (Joel) Rogers; her grandchildren, Andrew “AJ” (Jessenia) Brown, Ashley (Stetson) Creager, Melony (Bill) Burmaster, Aaron (Rebecca) Brown, Jeremy (Morgan) Brown, Brandon Brown, and Bradley Brown; 12 great grandchildren; and her siblings, Grace DiGuiseppi, Doris (Bob) Greene, Tommy (Sally) Clapper, John Clapper, and Harold Clapper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Celestine; her husband, Kenneth; and her siblings, Robert Clapper, Dean Clapper, Don Clapper, Mary Catherine Ullmark, Dorothy Shively, and Eleanor Kleinprinz.
Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick’s Church.
