Elizabeth “Betty” (Bretag) Pandolfi, 96, of Ottawa, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Heritage Woods in Ottawa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at St. Patrick’s Church in Ottawa with Msgr. Mark Merdian, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery in Ottawa. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Betty was born on March 26, 1928 in Streator to Henry H. and Lucille (Byrne) Bretag. She was the co-owner of Len-Rico’s with her husband, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rico and Marge. Betty married Bernard “Lenard” Pandolfi on September 18, 1948 at St. Patrick’s Church in Ottawa. She was a member of St. Columba Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Home Extension, and volunteered at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
She is survived by her four children, Janet Rudnicky of Naplate, Cathy (Daniel) Kain of Ottawa, Laurie Lehr of Grand Ridge, Flip (Kelly) Pandolfi, of Rural Ottawa; eleven grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Keith (Florence) Bretag of Ottawa; and a sister, Peg Bellettini of Morris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lucille Bretag; her husband, Bernard “Lenard” Pandolfi on September 3, 1995; four brothers, Paul Bretag, James Bretag, Kaye Bretag, and Jerry Bretag; a sister, Doris Barron; and her two sons-in-law, Steve Lehr and John Rudnicky.
Pallbearers will be Flip Pandolfi, Dan Kain, Brad Kain, Josh Rudnicky, Keith Lehr, Chaz Pandolfi, and Sam Pandolfi.
