Marcia Lynn Rogers (Fish), 79, of Ottawa, IL, passed away on November 23, 2024, at Pleasant View Lutheran Home.
The interment will be private at Stavanger Cemetery and a memorial service will take place at a later date.
Marcia was born August 26, 1945, in Seneca, IL, to Rex and Edith (Larsen) Fish. She married Donald Rogers on 9/21/1968 in Seneca, Illinois. Donald passed away on June 10, 2023.
Marcia graduated from Seneca High school & attended Illinois Wesleyan University as a music major & played clarinet and received her master’s degree in library science from the University of Illinois. She was a librarian employee at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library where she retired from. She was a former member of Christ Lutheran Church in Palatine, IL.
She is survived by; Brother, Lawrence (JoEllen) Fish, Sister; Pamela Lyon, Sister In-Law; Karen Fish, Dear Cousin; Connie Gemeny, Nieces, Nephews, Grandnieces, & Grand Nephews.
Marcia was preceded in death by; her parents, Brother; Thomas R. Fish & a sister in infancy.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Pleasant View Lutheran Nursing Home and Hearthstone for their care & compassion.
