Vaughn Michael Hauser, 35, of Ottawa, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 1, 2024.
A funeral mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in Ottawa, IL. Burial service will follow at St. Columba Cemetery.
Vaughn was born August 21, 1989, in Aurora, IL, to Scott F. and Cynthia A. (Ulrich) Hauser. He married Amanda Castelli on October 21, 2017 at St. Mary of the Fields in Grand Ridge, IL.
Vaughn was a husband, a son, a brother, and an uncle. He had many hobbies in life. He loved playing video games, board games, cooking, listening to all kinds of music, fishing from time to time, and collecting. He was generous with everything he had. Always quick to smile with a razor-sharp wit and a fantastic sense of humor. His laugh was warm. The kind of guy you want at every gathering. The kind of guy that went out of his way to make sure everyone else was having fun. That everyone was taken care of.
Unshakable.
Headstrong at times (understatement), but always calm when it was necessary – an attribute so appreciated by his family.
They adored him.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Hauser; his parents, Scott and Cynthia; his siblings, AJ (Jen) Hauser and Zach Hauser; his nephews and niece, Kaden, Liam, Finn, CJ, and Ava Joy Hauser; and his paternal grandparents, Richard “Dick” (Rosemary) Hauser and Janice Teppo; as well as his fur babies, Kirby Clark and Hazel Rou.
Vaughn was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Rita Ulrich; and his paternal grandparents, Nancy and Raymond Fryer and James Teppo.
