Press Release: LaSalle County Sheriffs unresponsive infant Streator

On 08/24/2024 at 12:12 am, LaSalle County Deputies responded to a residence
in rural Streator about an unresponsive infant. Grand Ridge Fire and EMS also
assisted with the call. Upon arrival, Deputies began life-saving efforts. Grand Ridge EMS arrived
and transported the child to OSF Center For Health Hospital in Streator where the
child was pronounced deceased. This incident remains under investigation by the
LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division and LaSalle County Coroner’s
Office.
