Jolene Annette (Grobe) Wilson, 62, of Grand Ridge, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Epworth United Methodist Church in Ottawa with Rev. Satya Sudhakar, officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Jolene was born on September 14, 1961 in Litchfield to Robert and Charlean (Robinson) Grobe. She worked in the kitchen at Pleasant View Lutheran Home for 10 years and Jolene’s Daycare for 34 years. Jolene married Steven Wilson on April 10, 1988 at Epworth United Methodist Church in Ottawa. She loved to read and her passion was the children that she took care of at her daycare. She helped raise over 200 children in the Grand Ridge surrounding area. She also loved to go to all of their activities.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Wilson, of Grand Ridge; her mother, Charlean Grobe, of Plano, TX; her two children, Heidi (Blain) Johnson, Craig Wilson; three grandchildren; a sister, Brenda (Ron) Bean, of Plano, TX; two brothers-in-law, Chuck (Peggy) Wilson, Ron (Terry) Wilson; a sister-in-law, Marge (Randall) Baxendale; a nephew, RJ Bean; along with several nieces and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Grobe; her grandparents, Tony and Isabelle Grobe, and Herb and Edna Robinson.
Pallbearers will be Ron Bean, RJ Bean, Tracey Morgan, Bob Bertell, Trevor Mooney, and Mitch Nettleingham.
