[Ottawa, IL. – July 23, 2024] – Kroger invites customers in and around Ottawa to visit its remodeled store on North Columbus Street. The grocer invested $1.9 million in a variety of improvements to better serve local shoppers. Kroger will celebrate the upgrades with a Thursday morning ribbon-cutting, food samples and demonstrations.

Kroger plans product giveaways for the first 100 customers at the store on Thursday morning. The grocer will also reveal the store’s longest-serving associate, recognizing the honoree for nearly 40 years of service to customers in Ottawa. And before cutting the ribbon, Kroger will make a special donation for local hunger relief. The contribution supports the Zero Hunger | Zero Waste plan, and Kroger’s commitment to end hunger in the communities it serves.
