Steven Lawrence Norsen, 57, of Marseilles, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Morris Hospital.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Troy Tvrdik officiating. A time of remembering will follow at the Lions Club in Marseilles. Burial will be in Nichol Cemetery at a later date.
He was born on May 17, 1967, in Ottawa, to Lawrence E. and Elizabeth A. (Fleetwood) Norsen. He married Linda Dodd of Marseilles who survives.
Steve was employed by Farm and Fleet as Automotive Manager for many years. The job he loved the most was managing and working on the family farm. He was always a phone call away. He was a hard worker and would do anything to help others. There was nothing he could not fix. Steve loved the outdoors, music and his family, especially his wife, Linda, and his dogs, Casey and Benny. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; his mother, Elizabeth Norsen; his sisters, Shirley Bernard, Beth (John) Richardson, and Laurie (Curt) Forth; his brother, Mike (Annie) Norsen; his brother-in-law, Rob (Colleen) Dodd; his sister-in-law, Susan (Merlin) Calhoun; and many nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Norsen; his sister, Susan Norsen; his mother-in-law, Beverly Ross and her husband, Everett Ross; his sister-in-law, Nancy Doughty; and his best friend, Joe Cook.
The family has asked that you wear your favorite concert t-shirt, in honor of Steve’s love of music.
