Leo Alan Petre, 54, of Marseilles, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 15, 2024.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 20 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Ron Wackerlin officiating.
He was born on August 3, 1969, in Ottawa, to Orwin and Julie (Lamb) Petre.
Leo graduated from Marquette High School in the class of 1987. He received his degree from DeVry University. He served honorable in the U.S. Army. He was currently employed by Kennedy Transportation as a dispatcher. Leo enjoyed coaching youth sports.
He is survived by his son; his mother, Julie; a sister, LuAn (Chris Swayne) Petre; two nieces, Haley (Savvy) Petre-McKiney and Felicia Skalnik; one nephew, Christopher Swayne; his god-mother, Patti Frederick, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Leo was preceded in death by his father, Orwin; a great-niece, Sophia; his grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.
