Kathleen Anne Reynolds-Millett, 73, of Marseilles, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at her home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday, May 20 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Seneca. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 p.m. with Fr. Bo Schmitt officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Utica. Arrangements have been entrusted to Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles.
Kate was born on September 4, 1950, in Chicago, to Richard and Doris (McElmeel) Reynolds. In 2007 she married William Millett of Marseilles who survives.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Seneca, IL. She worked as a reporter for WCMY Radio and the Ottawa Times for many years. She was currently serving as the Executive Director for the Illinois River Area Chamber and as the President of the Friends of the Marseilles Public Library. Kate also worked in the gift shop at the Starved Rock Lodge. She was an avid reader, loved the Beatles, and always had a corny joke to share.
Kate is survived by her husband, Bill; her children, Kirsten (Steve) Napier, Kerri Feiler, Patrick Feiler, and Chris and Tim Millett, three granddaughters, Kendall, Emily, and Reese Napier; and her siblings, Patricia (Harry Friedmann) Trocki and Dan (Debbie) Reynolds.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be directed to the Marseilles Public Library.
Pallbearers will be Chris and Tim Millett, Steve Napier, Dan Reynolds, Dave Ritter, and Tom Bojko.
