Carl Edward “Higgins” Dimmick, Jr., 64, of Ottawa

Carl Edward “Higgins” Dimmick, Jr., 64, of Ottawa, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.

Carl was born on October 3, 1959 in Ottawa to Carl and Ellen (Niles) Dimmick. He worked as a farmer, welder, a boilermaker for 30 years, and worked at Pilkington. Carl married Janet Fowlie on September 9, 1994 in Ottawa. They have been together for 36 years all together and married to his beloved wife for 30 years. Hunting, fishing, his daughter, and grandchildren were his world. Carl would hunt for deer, rabbits, squirrels, racoons, and birds. He loved spending time and talking to his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Dimmick, of Ottawa; his daughter, Andrea (Jesse) Donahue, of Ottawa; four grandchildren, Timothy Bayer, Jr., Caden Donahue, Paige (Joey Marez) Donahue, Riverlyn Donahue; one great-grandson, Braxton Donahue; a sister-in-law, Diane (Andrew) Malycha; his best friends, Matt Goetsch, Mike Beard, Matt Mettille, Dustin and Rich Lingemann, Denny Robinson, Vinny Marez, Billy Walsh, Tim Gaba, Dave and Gary Farrell, Eric and Aaron Poggi.

He was preceded in death by is parents, Carl and Ellen Dimmick; two sisters, Gail Anderson, Dana Haywood; his mother and father-in-law, Dorothy and Logan Fowlie; and best friends, VJ Robinson and Pat Burns.
