On 05/07/2024 around 0730 hours, a LaSalle County Deputy came upon a three-vehicle traffic accident in the area of IL RT 251 and N 38th Rd, near Mendota. Once an on-scene investigation was conducted: one male was found deceased, and four additional patients were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Mendota Fire/EMS and Troy Grove Fire also assisted.
