(Louisville, KY) — Two books checked out from a Louisville, Kentucky library nearly a century ago have finally been returned. “Famous Composers and Their Works” and “First Russian Book” are now back in the Louisville Free Public Library after a family member did a clean-out in California. The books were checked out 98 years ago. They encouraged one family member to have a career as a musician and another Ukrainian immigrant to learn English. The family has now returned the books to the St. Matthews branch and will not be charged late fees.
