Illinois Lawmakers Work To Improve Healthcare Licensing Process

(Springfield, IL) — Republican lawmakers in the Illinois House in Springfield say the state is failing its healthcare providers with delays in the licensing process. They claim many doctors and nurses have to wait up to a year before their licenses are renewed or approved. The lawmakers say they want the state to begin accepting online payments for professional licenses. A bill in the House would allow the state to issue licenses to healthcare professionals on an expedited basis.
