ILLINOIS STATE POLICE Seizes Almost 18,000 Pounds Of Illegal Drugs In ’23

(Springfield, IL) — Illinois State Police say they seized almost 18-thousand pounds of illegal drugs last year. State Police say they also arrested more than 19 hundred people last year on charges ranging from drug and gun violations to human trafficking. State Police say Metropolitan Enforcement Groups and Drug Task Forces in jurisdictions across the state seized more than 17-thousand-800 pounds of illegal drugs and more than 700 firearms. Investigations of human trafficking operations began last year in the state.
