(Peoria, IL) — Baseball Hall of Famer Jim Thome is being honored by the State of Illinois. The Peoria native is one of the 2024 recipients of the Order of Lincoln, the state’s highest civilian honor for professional achievement and public service. The five-time All-Star played for the Cleveland Indians, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Twins, and Baltimore Orioles. This year’s Lincoln Laureates will be honored at the Chicago History Museum on April 13th.
