Thomas Moore, 53, of Marseilles

Thomas Moore, 53, of Marseilles, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at his home.

A celebration of life will be held on March 2, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the American Legion in Marseilles, 571 Rutland St, Marseilles, IL 61341. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.

Thomas was born September 12, 1970, in Ottawa, IL, to Timothy Moore and Rebecca Vandervort. He married Shelly Moore on April 19, 2005, in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

He worked as a Local 1 Boilermaker for over 20 years. In his free time, he loved traveling, especially to Las Vegas or the Beach. He also loved spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed going 4wheeling with his son and was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan who attended many games at Lambeau Field. He was always happy-go-lucky and got along with everyone; he never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Shelly Moore; his son, Bryson Moore; his stepdaughter, Brittany Charbonneau; his grandson, Cameron Charbonneau; his brothers, Tim “TJ” Moore and Theodore “Teddy” (Elaine) Moore; his stepdad, Byron Lanphierd; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and numerous friends.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
