The La Salle County Clerk’s office will be holding an Open House for the public to view the new voting equipment. It will be held on Thursday, January 25th, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. in the La Salle County Government Complex, 707 E Etna Rd Ottawa IL 61350, in the basement Early Voting Room.
The Clerk’s office has purchased new voting equipment for La Salle County voters by using ARPA funds. Voters will start using the voting equipment for the first time in the March 19, 2024, General Primary Election. The Clerk’s office is very excited about the new equipment and how much more advanced the new machines are. This is a 16+ year upgrade from the previous equipment.
Results will still be retrieved in the same manner as in the past which will be available in the office and can be viewed on our county website: https://lasallecountyil.gov/251/Election-Results Election night unofficial results may take a little longer than the last few years as Clerk Ebner has decided to NOT do remote transmission from the regional sites to the County office on election night. All votes will be uploaded at the County office on election night. The new voting equipment is Unisyn OpenElect 2.1.0.2 and was purchased through Liberty Systems, LLC. Please contact the Clerk’s office at 815-434-8202 with any questions.
