Trident Agents recovered over 400 grams of purported cocaine

On 01/08/24, Trident Agents obtained a search warrant for the residence at 1220 Clinton St. Ottawa, IL. Agents along with the Ottawa Police Department attempted to stop Glenn Johnson age 38 of 1220 Clinton St. after he had left the area of the residence in a vehicle. Johnson fled from the traffic stop but was caught after he exited the vehicle and ran into the residence in an attempt to hide.

A search warrant was conducted on the residence and as a result, Agents recovered over 400 grams of purported cocaine having a street value of approximately $40,000, various items used in the packaging and delivery of cocaine, a firearm, and a switchblade knife.

The following suspects were arrested as a result:

Marcus M. Ragland age 37 of 1220 Clinton St. Ottawa, IL is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, a Class 1 felony. Ragland was released on a Notice to Appear.

Samantha J. Rieuf age 40 of 1220 Clinton St. Ottawa, IL is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, a Class 1 Felony. Rieuf was released on a notice to appear.

Glenn C. Johnson age 38 of 1220 Clinton St. Ottawa, IL is charged with Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, a Class 4 Felony, Driving while License Revoked, a Class A Misdemeanor, Resisting a Peace Officer a Class A Misdemeanor, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, a Class 3 Felony, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, a Class X Felony, and several traffic offenses. Johnson was transported to the LaSalle County Jail pending a detention hearing. At the time of his arrest, Johnson was on probation for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Resist a Peace Officer in LaSalle County case 22CF416.

Additional charges may be filed at Johnson’s first appearance.
