Dorothy Darlene (Houchin) Fowlie, 86, of Ottawa, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Dorothy was born on January 9, 1937, in Ottawa to Raymond and Marion (Beguin) Houchin. She married Logan Raymond Fowlie on December 4, 1954, at the First Baptist Church in Ottawa. Dorothy was a member of the Ottawa First Assembly of God Church. She loved her daughters and her grandchildren. She also loved to cook, bake, read, go to church, travel, camping, and spend time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Diane (Andrew) Malycha, of Minocqua, WI, and Janet (Carl) Dimmick, of Ottawa; two grandchildren, Todd Meglan, and Andrea (Jesse) Donahue, of Ottawa; 6 great-grandchildren, Timothy, Elizabeth, Paige, Caden, Riverlyn Donahue, Joey Marez; one great-great grandchild being born in March, Braxton; two sisters, Sheila (Steven Goodin) Vincent, of Mt. Vernon, Nina Prichard, of Tullahoma, TN; and a niece Debra (Bob) Scott.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Marion Houchin; her husband, Logan Fowlie on February 3, 2012; her two brothers, Raymond Houchin, Jr., and David Houchin.
