(Springfield, IL) — One of Illinois’ new laws for the new year will make it easier for some community college students to go to four-year universities. The law will allow anyone who has at least a 3.0 GPA and 36 credit hours of class to go from community college directly to a university. Champaign Democratic State Senator Paul Faraci wrote the law, he says as a way to both encourage community college students and to make a four-year degree more affordable for more people.
