(McLean County, IL) — Christmas may have come and gone, but the effort to get Santa back to Central Illinois is far from over. Two fiberglass Santa statues that were on display at the old Livingston’s Department Store in Downtown Bloomington from the 1940s until the 1970s have been donated to the McLean County Museum of History. They are in desperate need of restoration – an effort the museum says will cost upwards of 80 thousand dollars. Now, a fundraising effort is underway to get that money and get those historic Santas back where they belong.
