Residents of a Texas town are discovering that what they thought were aliens is a high-tech Christmas light show. Chris Hartgraves goes all out with Christmas decorations at his home in Georgetown, about 30 miles north of Austin.
Hartgraves says he saves up his vacation time to decorate his house with about 13 thousand lights to show his love for the Christmas holiday. He puts on a different show each week leading up to Christmas and starts planning the following year’s show the day after Christmas. Hartgraves is modest when he talks about his Christmas lights talents, saying he’s neither smart nor creative — “just a Christmas nerd.”
