(Springfield, IL) — An online auction is underway for unclaimed property in Illinois. Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs says the auction will run through Friday. Items being auctioned include an American Eagle gold coin proof set, a man’s 14-karat brushed white gold ring with blue Lindy star sapphire, and Michael Jordan comic books and basketball cards featuring Jordan and other NBA stars.

(Peoria, IL) — Authorities are identifying the man killed in a Peoria shooting over the weekend. Deandre Blocker, Senior was found shot to death Saturday night in his home in the 600 block of East Frye. The case remains under investigation by the Peoria Police. No arrests have been made.

(Dallas City, IL) — Authorities are investigating a death in Dallas City, Illinois, man. Hancock County Sheriff Travis Duffy says Lonnie Lewis was found dead during a structure Friday Saturday at 180 West Second Street. Preliminary results show that Lewis died from carbon monoxide and smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no foul play is suspected.

(Milan, IL) — OSHA is investigating a death at John Deere’s Parts Distribution Center in Milan. Tony LeCleir of Davenport was injured during an October 20th incident. He died at the hospital 18 days later. OSHA opened an investigation five days after the incident.

>>Champaign Offering Free Parking in Downtown Champaign In December

(Champaign, IL) — The city of Champaign is offering free parking downtown next month. Up to two hours of free parking will be available in the Hill Street Parking Deck from December 1st through December 31st. Hourly visitors parking longer than two hours will receive a two-hour discount off their parking fee. The free parking is being offered to encourage residents and visitors to frequent downtown businesses this holiday season.
