On Monday a little after 10:00 pm 74-year-old Marc Young of Galesburg was struck by 19-year-old Ryan Mann of Springfield at East 24th Road and North 30th Road just south of I80 north of Marseilles. Ryan was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident.
On Thanksgiving day at 1 am LaSalle County Deputies stopped 31-year-old Kierra Henning of Bettendorf at RT 18 & E 15th RD. Henning was cited for speeding 73 mph in a 55 mph zone, improper lane usage, operating uninsured motor vehicle, unlawful use of electronic communication device and arrested for DWLS. She was later released with a Notice to Appear.
On Thanksgiving at 3:00am LaSalle County Deputies charged 21 year old Cheyenna Prat of Streator at Route 23 and North 2525th road in South Ottawa. After an investigation, it was determined Prat was possession of cocaine and methamphetamine. She was transported to LASCO Jail and later released with a Notice to appear.
On Thanksgiving just before 6 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a car Vs deer accident with no injuries. 41 year old Anthony Showen of Spring Valley was driving on Route 71 near East 494 th road near Lowell. He was unable to avoid the deer. Anthony was cited for driving with suspended registration.
