La Salle County Sheriff Sergeant Baxter has updated just exactly what the incident that took place last night was not. Whatever happened took place in the 1500 block of East 18th Road in Streator last night just before 9 pm. It evidently was not a stabbing as some Streator residents are reporting on Facebook. Details are not yet clear, but it is not being handled by Streator police. The incident is being investigated by the La Salle County sheriff as it is in their jurisdiction.
