It’s not always a bad thing to live near a chemical factory after all.
Very early Saturday, about 3:00 a.m. 21-year-old Alejandro G Perez was observed entering several cars near the Carus Chemical plant in the 1100 block of 6th Street in LaSalle and stealing items inside. Surveillance cameras at Carus caught everything and now Perez faces 5 felony counts of burglary, felony and misdemeanor charges of criminal damage to property, and one count of criminal trespass to a vehicle.
Perez is currently free and awaiting a court date.
